This pilot Christmas special features Matt Allwright in Afghanistan, who has been given access all areas at the largest British military base ‘Camp Bastion’; an eight-square-mile fortress in the heart of the Hellmand province.

Matt, and the team, meet the soldiers and civilians who make the camp tick and find out what it is like to live in this place frequently heard about in the press. The film offers a ‘real-world’ view of day-to-day life for the thousands of British soldiers serving in Afghanistan.

Kiss My Pixel were commissioned to produce the graphic branding, interface, templates and styling to appeal to a primetime Christmas audience. Having to illustrate and explain various military details; often dealing with sensitive issues, whist keeping the overall brand light hearted, intriguing and contemporary.

The whole production was turned around in a very tight time period, so a template graphic system was devised to fit effortlessly into the programmes workflow; integrating the graphics seamlessly, whilst allowing changes to be made right up to the wire.
